What we collect

Account basics: your name, birth date, email, and how you signed in. Profile content you choose to add: traits, photos, an optional voice/video answer, an optional “About” blurb, and any links or details you attach. If you request identity or income verification, the document and selfie you upload for that purpose. Usage data (pages visited, features used) via PostHog, and payment details via Stripe when you buy Plus or a credit pack — we never see or store your card number ourselves.

How we use it

To run the product: match you against other people's filters, show your public content on your profile, send the handful of transactional emails described below, and process payments. We use aggregated, de-identified usage data to decide what to build next. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your photos or profile content to train any model.

What stays locked, and what's public

Traits, photos, and most other profile fields start locked by default — visible to nobody until you either mark them public or grant a specific person access. Verification documents are never shown to other users; they're reviewed by our admin team solely to approve or reject the verification request, then kept only as long as needed to resolve disputes about that decision.

Who we share it with

Only the vendors that make the product work: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), PostHog (product analytics), and, if you add an “About” blurb, an embeddings provider used solely to compute a compatibility signal between two people's text — never to build a profile of you elsewhere. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Your controls

You can change the visibility of almost anything you've added at any time from your profile editor, and delete photos, links, or your voice/video answer outright. To delete your account and the data tied to it, email us at support@ohmyperson.com and we'll process it within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a lightweight analytics cookie via PostHog. Neither is used for third-party advertising.
